I had a copy of Exodus on CD a while ago, and I used it with the official CAOS Tool to make agents.

Since installing Creatures Village from here (and the Remastered Patch), I haven't been able to get my CAOS Tool to work properly - it gives me an error message about not being able to connect to Exodus, and it defaults to trying to work with CV.

What is going on?

How can I make it so that the CAOS Tool works with Exodus?

When you installed the Remastered Patch, did you notice if it also detected your install of Creatures Exodus? As far as I've seen, the CD version is very unreliable in working with newer operating systems. You may want to try reinstalling the Remastered Patch again, or looking into getting the GOG version of Creatures Exodus. Unfortunately, I haven't heard of this issue before, and don't have any other suggestions. I hope you can get it working again soon, though! Good luck!
