So I've been revisiting these games. I grew up with them and adored them. I first thought that C3/DS was the most polished and user friendly with easy access to third party agents. However it just feels like it's missing something. I got back into C2 and it had everything I wanted. I immediately felt attached to my norns. I mean whenever I see their shocked and sad faces it' s just heartbreakingly adorable and I can't help but scratch them to tell them it's gonna be alright. I don't feel that with C3/DS. Maybe because I can keep so many creatures at once I feel less attached to eatch.

But C2 is hopelessly buggy and crashes constantly for me. I seldom can play for more than a few hours without a serious crash.

I know that the default C2 species have been converted to C3/DS species and that the C2 world can be added to the C3/DS world.

But how hard is it to convert my personal species to run in C3/DS? I'm pretty attached to what I've made and trying to do the same in the C3 Genetics Kit just doesn't get the same results.

I apologize if this has been asked before. I just want to run my favorite creatures in the most stable possible world. Are there tools or guides to help me with this?

When you say that you're trying to convert a "personal species" to run in C3/DS, what do you mean? Species usually refer to the unique sprites and body data files associated with a particular breed. If you're trying to move a Norn from Creatures 2 into Creatures 3/Docking Station, there is no easy way to go about it. I completely understand where you're coming from, though! I always have issues getting attached to anyone in C3/DS. It feels like there's a disconnect that wasn't there in the first two games.

Have you heard of C2toDS? It's a huge project that brings the Creatures 2 environment (and many other elements) into C3/DS. Of course it's still not the same, yet you can get a little closer to feeling like you're playing C2 within C3/DS.

I hope this helps a bit!
