hi all, i started playing creatures one from the albian years pack. i exported my 2 norns so i could focus on raising a new baby. when i turned the game back on later today it wont let me import my norns back into the game. the files aren't where they should be. i did a search for them on my computer and it says they're in the creatures 1 folder but when i go into program files and look they're not there. i tried moving them back into the folder so they're there again but when i select them in game it still wont import them. any advice on how to get them back into the game would be greatly appreciated! i'm using vista if that helps.

thanks!

It's great to have another Creatures player around! Welcome! Your problem sounds like a downright frustrating one. I have a couple of questions, which will hopefully get you back on the right track!

- Have you installed the Creatures Remastered Patch? I'm not certain if this has anything to do with Creature files, but it's definitely something to have in order to use other C1 and C2 add ons.

- When you try to import one of the files, what type of error message do you receive? Does the game lock up and/or shut down? Or is there a specific error message that pops up? Some exported Creature files become corrupt, often out of the blue. Pregnant Norns typically have a good deal of trouble, though I've run into this problem with other Norns.

The only way to import Creatures is through the import function within the game, unfortunately. It would be a lot easier if files could just be moved around, though! In the worst case, you should be able to recreate the lost Norns from their genetic files, though I'm sure this isn't what you're hoping to do!

Feel free to post any other details about the issue: Aside from the corrupted files, I'm not sure I've come across this before. Perhaps others have more insight, though! In any event, I hope that your two Norns eventually return to your game safely!
