Gog are not doing a great job with describing this DLC correct...

Then in the description of the DLC itself....

About: Craft The World - Dig with Friends is a multiplayer-only DLC. An internet connection and GOG Galaxy are required in order to access the multiplayer content.

Well in theory thats accurate. You can play the game without the connection. Schwarmy and low rent, but accurate.

Just a note to folks using XP. It may be different on your install but any version of Craft The World from 1.4.006 up may not run on your XP box even though the game card says XP and later. Previous versions install and run great on XP . . at least on my install. When I install and run either of the versions released from 1.4.006 up I get the attached error message.

I uninstall the game and re-installed the version below 1.4.006 and it runs as expected with the Sister-in-Arms DLC of the same version.

I just tried again with the new 1.4.009 version with the same result. I have not tried to install and run on any version of Vista.

My speculation is the versions from 1.4.006 up require Galaxy to use the Dig With Friends DLC. That DLC game card says Win 7, 8 and 10 only. I don't use Galaxy but I think someone said it would not run on XP?? A LAN option would have been nice along with not requiring Galaxy.

Help desk said they would pass the info on but the game card has not changed as of 5/17/2017. Just something to consider before a purchase if you plan to run it on an XP install.

(Yes, I know XP is obsolete but I let the nephew and niece play on the XP box knowing they won't damage my work boxes. They can still play the older version so no harm, I was hoping they could use multiplayer with another box but that is not going to happen with one of them on an XP box)

Edit: BTW, the version that does run on XP is version 1.3.003 and below.
