I have a 1080p capable monitor, but I'm trying to run the game at 720p because I don't have a powerful enough GPU to run at full settings and resolution. The only problem is when I set it to 1280x720, it stays in 1920x1080 and refuses to change. I confirmed that it was still in 1080p by looking at my monitor's OSD. Even when I quit and start up the game again, it's still in 1080p resolution. Out of curiosity, I set it to 1024x768, and it just "pretended" to work by boxing it into a 4:3 aspect but still running at 1920x1080.

Finally, in case the options.sav file was not being written to correctly, I used the following command to grab the resolution settings from the options.sav and confirmed that it was, indeed, correctly set to 1280x720.

strings ~/.local/share/doublefine/costumequest/options.sav | sed -e s/\;/\\n/g -e s/{/\\n/g -e s/}/\\n/g | grep res=

So I'm stumped. Please help me to get this to work, because if I run it at 1080p, even with all the Advanced graphics options turned off, it hangs my system so badly that I have to hard reset it. I need to be able to run it at a lower resolution. Any help would be appreciated.
