Tested on /5/ computers, I can tell you guys that Cossacks _CAN_ be played in multiplayer - at LEAST through LAN.
I noticed that only _BACK TO WAR_, the newest one, works, others don't find hosts in the network.
Other problem noticed with other cossack games: the game won't load (host's ready bar)
LAN works when TCP/IP option is chosen (second from the top)
Remember to give the game access to the internet (poke holes in firewall in XP and "allow" in Vista/7 dialogue.
Tested on:
ad-hoc networks (hosted by 5 different computers)
2 routers
If it doesn't work, it's a problem with your rig/network, not with the game. Chill!
BTW:
_BEFORE_ you host, set the game to _SLOW MODE_ in options and set the speed to about 2/3 of the bar. It works best then (in our opinion)
