I find that the scroll speed (when you move the cursor to the edge of the screen and the landscape scrolls) way too fast.
Even when I set my mouse speed outside the game to slowest, and in the game set game speed and movement to slow the scroll speed makes one always overshoot where you want to go.
Any ideas?
GOG responded prompty to my support question with some useful suggestions:
Does the same issue occur when you try to navigate using the arrow keys? (haven't tried yet)
1) Please make sure that you use "Run as Administrator" to install and to start the game (right click on the shortcut or setup file and select "Run as Administrator"). (set compatibility to always run as Admin)
2) Please reinstall the game to a simpler path (like: C:\Games\*gametitle*). (I installed to c:/games/cossacks/ )
3) Please update your graphics device drivers (mine were all up to date)
4) Please right-click the game's shortcut, go to Properties -> Compatibility and set different compatibility modes before launching the game again. (now running for Windows XP SP2)
Which reduces the problem, but does not solve it.
Scrolling is still rather too fast for my taste, and I still overshoot.
