I loved the old Cossacks and have thought about buying Cossacks 3, but since the main difference appears to be graphics only I am reluctant as it appears that Cossacks 3 has far fewer nations. There were 20 in the original series, but only 16 now? It appears that at least four nations are missing and no new ones?

The missing nations are :

Hungary
Piedmonte
Portugal
Switzerland


Is this right? Are those four nations planned for future expansion? I would probably buy the Cossacks 3 series if it were on sale and if these nations returned, but am reluctant for now.

Yes, they will add those nations in the future DLCs and will be free for everyone.

Beware, the game does not support LAN which is a major drawback in my opinion.
