I am stick at the canyon upper rim and can't get lose. I attempted to rebuild the globe, gave up and quit the game. I cam back later to find that I am in the same place but the globe and everything else is gone and I can't get lose. The platform is all that's left when I launch off am returned and can't figure out how to continue without losing all progress. Anyone able to help?

I don't know if you're still having trouble after all this time, but back up the Documents\My Games\Control folder before anything else. Then from the main menu, choose Mission Select and see if restarting from the current mission helps.
