In the chapter "Directorial Override" there is supposed to be a red flashing light in the breaker room. This is not appearing for me. The mission pops up and says "Investigate the strange light" but there is no light appearing for me. I read somewhere that you have to go into the room beside the break room and watch the TV episode first but the TV doesn't even play for me. I've also played the game once before (not all the way through) on a different PC. I didn't finish it before though because I was playing on a low-end laptop that only got ~25 fps. Since then I've upgraded to a desktop with a 1660 Super. I mention this because the game seems to save progress from my previous playthrough. I even restarted the game today and played up until this point to see if it would work by starting a new game but it didn't. Also, when I go into the room with the janitor no cutscene plays even though it is supposed to play. I tried validating the game files before starting a new playthrough, but this did nothing either. Can anyone help me with this?

I just figured out how to fix this issue. I just deleted my save files and started over and I was able to get the ability.

That's not really much of a "solution" though.

Looking around, seems like the last patch still hasn't fixed the bug that affects new games when there is already save data.
