Hello fellow gamers,
If you have the issue of control constantly crashing after you have escaped the office hell and Dylan talking about how his sister yada yada and then boom. Crash / game freeze.
The "problem" I found was that waiting on the top floor for him to finish talking while looking at the boxes killed the game.
As in I "played" in 800:480 pixels, all set to low, compatibility out the rear, not looking at the shifting red blocks by going back into the entrance, and then when I turned around, looking at the boxes - game freeze or crash.
After reloading I ran through the 1st floor and drop down to the 2nd level as fast as I could and the game kept running. I could even go back to better graphic options.
In case anyone's interested, my system is a Win11 with an Intel i7-12700 and a Geforce RTX 3060 TI w/ driver 516.40
I needed to disable the fullscreen optimization under compatibility in order to fight The Anchor.
I hope this helps anyone out there who's just about to finish the game and about to be stuck in an endless crash loop of disappointment.
