Hi,
If you have any problems with mouse speed, you can amend the dosboxConstructor.conf file found in the installation directory to amend the mouse sensitivity from 200 down to 50.
For info, I am running Ubuntu 14.04
The config I have is below and gives you an idea of other options you can tweak as well.
fullscreen=true
fulldouble=false
fullresolution=original
windowresolution=original
output=overlay
autolock=true
sensitivity=50
waitonerror=true
priority=higher,normal
mapperfile=mapper.txt
usescancodes=true
I have not tried this in Windows but suspect you can do the same via dos box.
