I just bought, downloaded and Installed Mob Rule on my Mac (OSX 10). When I double-click to play it says "'Mob Rule' is damaged and cannot open. You should move it to the trash."

Has anyone encountered this problem? I love this game and can't wait to play it again. Please help!


Edit: I got it working, however now the screen keeps blinking with nonsense. I can play the game but cannot see the top information bar where it lists my resources and such. Anyone else have this problem?

I am on osx 10.9.2, I had the same problem (with the top of the screen missing), what fixed it for me is by switching it to Windowed Mode after loading the game, which is by pressing command+return.

Great :)!

Oh, I should mention that I had this exact same problem with the game "Shadow Man", but in that case it is impossible to switch to Windowed Mode. I contacted support and they were unable to solve the problem :(. So don't buy Shadow Man if you're having this problem with Mob Rule.

Have you tried the suggestions in the Support FAQ yet? Here is part of it which may help:

Game "is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash."
a) Redownload the game using the newest version of the GOG Downloader:
https://secure.gog.com/downloader
To download, make sure the "GOG.com Downloader mode" is switched to ON before clicking the "Game installer" button. After the download is complete, reinstall the game.
b) Use this workaround if using the Download didn't help:
- Go to Applications -> Terminal
- Type in:
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine
but don't press Enter.
- Drag the application to the Terminal window, this should add the path.
- Press Enter.

Set Display Mode Failed.....

That is all I keep seeing when I attempt to start the game. The screen goes black and a windows pop up keeps telling me Set Display mode. I have already tried running in comparability mode as some forums suggested but this game was advertised by GOG to play on Windows 7 (what i have). I want to play the game and don't wan't to return it. Someone please help!
