This game reminds me of Star Trek, I am really interested in how this plays and I'd also like to know how it compares to Faster Then Light.
Looks like Star Trek meets System Shock 2.

Oh buy, now that's a combination.
I would say this game is a Thriller/Sci-Fi in the lines of a Star Trek episode, and they do use a few tricks to keep you jumping and they did it very well... i never asked for this, but damn i like where it went.
There’s bound to be some confusion as to what Consortium actually is as it’s hard to nail down comparisons to other games. How about Star Trek Elite Force, mixed with System Shock? You’re something of a security chief on this little three-deck ship, except you’re actually a person’s consciousness from the past being beamed via satellite into the body of a newly assigned security chief into the future of an alternate reality. Consider the confusion gone! From there you interact with the crew (perhaps being careful about the questions you ask incase it’s something a security chief should know) and learn about the exploits of the previous retired security chief who sounds like he may have been another player. There’s a reputation system which awards positive or negative points based on your chosen dialogue options, the crew themselves have a variety of accents and distinct personalities, plus the story so far is gripping and at times forth wall unnerving.

Honestly if it weren’t for the bugs I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Even if the content goes downhill from here, Consortium has been one of the most fascinating games I’ve played in years.
