I am really interested in buying this. All those fond memories. But! First I want to know if anyone has gotten multipayer working. Specifically if play by e-mail works, and how. What would I need on top of getting just the game. (dosBox)

as an answer to your question in my post, no, I haven't had anybody to play with yet. Haven't played the game myself for a few months now. But I'd be willing to try if you happen to buy this one.
The game comes with dosbox so you don't need anything else. The multiplayer options available are either IPX or play by email, so you need a network with IPX support (or e-mail support). Hamachi might be able to do IPX, over internet I don't know.
