right when i began to play the game for the first time after installation, i received a malware warning and was told to quarantine the file, did anyone else have this problem?

I certainly didn't have such a problem, and, judging by others discussing the game here, I think no one else did, either.

I have this, avg found a malware during install (i believe is a false one) but even if i say "continue" install can't go further

For installing i solved not installing on C: but on D: , anyway lauching the game AVG warned me about the malware in the .exe of Conquest of the New World.... the exe is GOGWRAP.exe i just selected AVG to allow GOGWRAP to go and so considering it a "false positive".

Am i right or is this a known "malware bug" with a name similar to GOG?

There are some games in the catalogue that caused false positives for a number of members; unfortunately, I can't be more precise because it's not consistent (either regarding the games or the users who had problems with them).
