My cd version of this game allowed me to enable blood. It had a funny comment about how this isn't doom :D

Anyhow this version does not give you the option but it is still in teh game. Open conquest.cfg and change blood: 0 to Blood: 1

All it does is splatter some blood on the ground when you kill units.

Ok I installed the cd and the blood option is there. ALso undercustom game player options the gog version says no string. Also for some reaon my cd of deluxe runs smoother looks better. This may just be because I am using a different dosbox setup? I don't know.

I think it's possible they may be different versions, from different regions. This internet shop seems to sell a lot of the European versions, not the North American versions. With some games, there is a huge difference in version when it comes to where they're from, that's easily noticeable for ones I know about. So that could be the case here as well.

Sometimes in a battle your path will be blocked until the body or blood clears. Without the blood its hard to tell where and when your move is restricted
