I have the original CD back from 2000 but it's great to have the digital version of it now too! To be honest it'd be great to see a new CFW fanbase.

Well, I managed to run a somewhat limited Conquest on Windows 8 after I crashed both my video cards. It worked but unfortunately there's no 3d acceleration when running it solely on a CPU instead of a GPU.

This needs a bump I think. Would be nice to play this on windows 8

I don't know if this will help GOG but I have a Win 7 machine and a Win 8 machine. The game runs flawlessly on the Win 7 machine but crashed immediately on Win 8. There must be some little difference of code between the two affecting the game.

I am also awaiting a friendly Windows 8 fix for this. Patiently, but waiting. I'll have to play it on my old laptop for now.

Is there anyone looking into this? I'd really like to play this on my destop, too.

Seems that GOG forgot this one. I posted before that it works flawlessly on my Win7 machine but crashes immediately in Win8.

Both machines are I7's The Win7 machine is Radeon based and the Win 8 is Nvidia.

Come on GOG, you made a huge announcement about this game when it was released. This thread is eight months old now. Would one of you please at least let us know you're alive? :)
