If you take a closer look at the "conquest.ini" in your game main folder you will notice that there is a interesting line (in the [Features] category):
LanguageSelect = DEFAULT ; language for all of the text in the game, options are: ENGLISH, FRENCH, GERMAN, ITALIAN, SPANISH, POLISH, TAI, and KOREAN
Change this to any of the proposed options, save the file and launch the game. All off the ingame text should now be in the selected language. :)

Ya, the voiced dialogues have never been translated as far as I know.
They have, I myself used to have a version with Polish sound until I bought an English version.

Oh sorry, I didn't know about that. I got my original copy from the German game magazine GameStar - that version only has English audio but uses German strings by default.
I still have the old french edition on my computer...very cool translation.

Now i will get that one too to run it on my netbook (didn't manage to do this with sound with the original game).
