Lo,
If Someone wants to play Commandos 2 in a Window, just browse to the "Game Folder\OUTPUT\COMM2.cfg" File.
And edit the Setting: .INICIAR_EN_FULL_SCREEN 1
to .INICIAR_EN_FULL_SCREEN 0
Btw
Although both (Commandos 2 and 3) use a similar Config File, the Variable doesn't work
in Commandos 3, if someone knows the Solution feel free to share the solution. ;)
Btw2 Make sure you don't re-save as a *.txt File.
I was looking for this, thanks :) My only question is, how can I increase the resultant window in size? I see a very tiny window...
Thank you for this :-)
No solution on how to get windowed-mode in Commandos 3 from me, yet. I'll let you know here if I stumble across one, though.

Hey guys,
I found a way to get Commandos 3 into windowed mode and being able to customize the resolution. You need to get a program called D3dWindower, download it here:
http://www.brothersoft.com/d3dwindower-238977.html
Then you need to copy D3dHook.dll from the D3dwindoer-folder to your commandos 3 folder. Then start up D3d with the exe file, and press the plus sign to locate commandos3.exe. Next you select Commandos3 in the list in D3dW, and press the settings button in the top bar. From here you can specify what resolution you want the window in. I havn't fiddled around with the rest of the settings very much so it's up to you if you'll leave them as default or experiment. To start the game simply doubleclick Commandos3 in D3dWindower.
Two downsides I've noticed is that in the menus the mouseclicks can be unresponsive so you'll do best in using the arrowkeys and enter to navigate. The other downside is that if the window is on the center of your screen, your mouse won't be able to move all the way to the left. To counter this just move the window to the top-left on your screen.
Anyway, I've only tested this for a few minutes but during that time it seemed to work pretty good. Let me know if there's any issues with it.

Noticed something in my post that was wrong... you can't customize the resolution in the game but only the height and width of the window. Sorry for the mistake.
