Remember when I threw a tantrum over 'Commandos 2 Mission 8 glitch'?
Well, I tried it out again and again, and now probably I figured out what is the problem - For some reason, the GOG version of Commandos 2 decided that after completing 6 missions - no matter the pattern - You can only get promoted after a mission if You get 5 stars for Merit.
This gets pretty infuriating on the final 3 three missions, since, like I said, the game simply won't give You 5 stars for certain criterias, no matter how hard You will try (And there's no hint as to what You are doing wrong).
So the best way to get Field-Marshal here is to play achronologically - First the Enigma-related missions, then the final three, and only then the Pacific related ones. And with Pacific quite possibly the hardest one would be Savo Island - And You know why.
