For anyone who hasn't played chess, it's a board game in which you try and corner the other player's king.
Now that we have that out of the way...
Combat Chess. It's chess... with animations. And the animations are quite amusing as well as the sounds that accompany them.
Pieces get cut apart as they are attacked and while they are idle they also move around giving them some life.
The computer also provides a good challenge and it even allows you to tweak exact settings on what the computer can do including time it can take before moving and the amount of CPU power given to the computer while it is deciding its move.
But after the 6th or 7th game... the animation novelty wears off. You begin to realize that this is just a chess game... and a mediocre chess game at that.
