Can anyone post the best way to run this in LInux? I have a dosgames folder that I mount in dosbox, and then I navigate to the Viceroy. however, I get an awkward resolution and no sound. I was wondering if anyone else uses a config file or the default config file and how you are doing it. Thanks!

Try running install.exe if it is included in the gog version to change the soundcard settings. Colonization can only be run in 320x200 in 256 colors. Fixed resolutions were very common before GPU's hit the consumer market.
You might want to change the rendering to OpenGL in the configuration file for dosbox. I typically always have issues with games from GOG with resolutions unless I modify that setting.

On Windows I use ddraw, on Linux I use opengl. Seems to smooth things out.
