I used to have the DVD version of CMR5 - I still do, actually, but the game's refused to run ever since I upgraded to a dual-core rig. I downloaded the game off GOG and went back to my career and championship conquests.
One thing that has changed though is the game's compatibility with FRAPS. On the DVD version, I could get an easy 45 frames per second while recording. On the GOG version, the game slows down to a crawl and sound becomes choppy.
Does this have to do with how GOG's version is tweaked (is it emulated in some shape or form?) or would this have to do with my hardware simply not liking GOG's version?
