I'm a new player and am having a lot of trouble with the Dampers Test for the Escort Mk1. When I'm really lucky I can get the green bar to 50%, but usually I'm lucky to get it past the first pip.
I'm currently trying to keep my speed up as high as possible, trying to throw the CG of the car around as much as possible, and trying to keep the steering wheel cranked when landing jumps.
Does anyone have any tips for overtaxing the suspension in this test? I'd appreciate it.

I think I can answer my own question. I was sabotaging myself by trying to throw around my CG and cranking the steering wheel on landings.
If you simply go full tilt, trying to complete the course as fast as possible, you should fill the bar pretty easily.
Essentially, to win the test, I drove it like I would a real race with the exception of doing nothing to cushion jumps. Where in a race I usually brake a bit going into jumps, in this test I just put as much speed into them as possible.
Hopefully that helps someone who, like me, over-thought the challenge.

The tests are usually very unfair with slower cars. I could never beat this particular one with the Lancia Stratos (the worst car I've driven so far in the game). I would recommend to you not to worry that much about them, because you can complete and win the events where you need the Escort without the dampers.
Thanks, Falci. Indeed the slower cars are more challenging.
Fortunately, the Escort damper test was the only one I got stuck on for long enough to frustrate me, and, as I said above, it was because I was making it harder than it was. In fact I was making it impossible!
Thanks again.
Edit: Wow, the Lancia Stratos was indeed frustration inducing! It took numerous tries (and a lot of luck) but I was glad to put that one behind me. Anyways, to mark this as closed I'm going to accept your post as answer.
