Episode 3 constantly hanging up!Any suggestions?

I am running win 8.1 with 8 gb ram and 2 gb video with amd quadcore 4300.
Finished the game with many hangups along the way!!

There's a note in the steam forums of forcing gfx...I've had issues until i set a few overriding options in my AMD Catalyst software...

I don't remember. I do know I got to beat the entire game. I probably disabled all the effects within the options as using the Catalyst software I don't remember making a difference. But this was 6+ months ago.

try with -force-gfx-direct
