I got it to run initially by lowering my video resolution, based on an internet post. That worked the first few times but now the opening screens work, but when you select the "start game" button this message appears:

Close Combat encountered an internal error at address 0x5E642602 and will now exit. Game version 2000.2.10.1

I reinstalled, verified files, tested compatibility setttings but no luck. Anyone know of a fix?
