Hello there!

So, I'm a "seasoned veteran" of the CC series, and have played the games on and off since the 90's. Recently I started a youtube channel, and I thought to myself; why not make some playthrough videos of CC3? And so I did!

I have a playthrough of both the Russians and the Germans out there, on elite difficulty. The links for the first videos of each playthrough can be found below!

Thanks for your post! I still like playing the CC games too - even CC1. Have you played that one recently? I'm still trying to solve the flickering trees etc that some users experience but I suspect that modern graphics cards might be too powerful or fast for a game that old.

I have in fact played it recently, but I ran into the same issues as you are describing here, and did not play it for long :p The series has come a long way since then, thankfully! But certainly the original game still has some value today - if only it would run properly!

I managed to get CC1 working with DxWnd using the following settings:

1. Main>Generic>Run Window(uncheck), Fullscreen Only(check)
Position>Window initial position & size> x=0 y=0, W&H=your desktop resolution

2. Timing>System speed>CPU max usage(check), ratio 1: 80~100

3. Libs>GDI>Emulated Device Context(check)

Thanks again to another poster, halmorisaki, and it works fine now. Some of the settings are trial and error but I can post screenshots of my settings if needed. Cheers
