Is it better to play the missions or the campaigns? From the map it looks like the campaign consists of the single missions. Would it not be good to start the campaign straight away and avoid repeating stuff?

It's up to you, in single missions you have a given number of troops and you fight your battle, in campaign the maps are the same but there is the strategic factor of using the same troops throughout all the maps and manage reinforcements, I think the campaign is really wonderful for this aspect
