That's it. There's no loading screen and nothing. My Windows 7 just switches to Basic Theme (YUK! I hate it so much when it does that!) and displays a "Critical Error" message stating:
General protection fault!

History:
The history part is as empty as in this post. Running as administrator doesn't change anything. Other ideas?

Edit / Ps: Running on
Intel i7 3830
ASUS P9X79
16gb RAM
EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD
ASUS Xonar
Adaptec SAS 31205 Raid 5
Windows 7, 64bit

Everything up to date.

PPS:
I don't have an optical drive - if that matters anyhow... I've just seen posting about it asking for a CD-ROM or something. I don't have such a thing.

Well... uninstalled, reinstalled. This time the folder's called "Clive Barkers Undying" - last time I left the default value "Clive Barker's Undying". Don't know if that matters.

So far so good. Now I'll go an join the line of people with incredible speedups during gameplay (using DirectX)...

Oh great... it just ran once from the installer finish screen. Now when I try to launch again I'm back to General Protection Fault. Who's that guy anyways? I'm not so much into military -.-

Haha.

Well I took a look at your specs and I would try to run without your sound card activated as it's a possibility it causes the game some issue, I've read about Xonar sound cards having issues with games, perhaps not as much as Soundblaster but still.

Another one that requires reinstall is to do all these:
Uninstall the game
Reinstall it at a place that is not program files/x86 with admin rights (as in right click and run with admin when you install, not just playing the game)
Start the game with admin rights

Another one that could help is to add Undying.exe to DEP exception. Here's a simple guide to show you for Windows 7:
How to change Data Execution Prevention
The game is running Unreal Engine...

Mostly the General Fault is from Graphics...
Thats what I had before, so try using DX or OpenGL...
Or just try simple graphics...
Could be sound card, but doubt it...
Try simple solutions until you spot the problem...

Try this, hope it helps...
