I bought this game and tried to download it with the gog downloader. got a 404 error. filed a support ticket, and they said basically, too bad, we do not support the downloader any more, use galaxy. galaxy is way slower, 0.01MB\sec with my internet. I have requested a refund. I will think twice before buying any game from here. sorry for the rant, but I am pretty ticked off right now.

I get that some people have great internet, but I live right on the edge of my isp's coverage area. and gog galaxy slows my download speeds to a crawl. some have said it is a p2p app,if that is the case, there should be an option to disable it.

You have every right to rant.
The galaxy thing is supposed to be optional.

Have you tried to DL via your browser?
I know it has no pause, but you could use an addon to add a pause/restart, just in case.

In-browser I use the S3 Download bar for Firefox which has a pause feature. Galaxy client also has a pause-all feature.

Thank you. I will try a download manager, hopefully gog supports resuming downloads. It is just so frustrating, all they need to do is provide a downloader link.

If this happened in the Downloader, then we are aware of the issue. The Downloader remains functional, but is effectively discontinued, and we will not be making any major fixes or updates to it.

We strongly advise using GOG Galaxy, which, to all intents and purposes, replaced the Downloader - our new application which makes downloading and installing games as convenient as possible.
Besides being very user-convenient, and keeping your games up to date, it offers the fastest download speeds possible, pausing/resuming, and - most importantly - thorough protection against file corruption while downloading.

Just click on "TRY GALAXY", then "DOWNLOAD BETA" and install it on your system. Afterwards, just launch it, log in, and you can install games directly from your Library section.

If you just want to download the installers, please find the game in Galaxy, and click MORE -> Backup & goodies. This will let you download the installer, which you can back up and/or install at any time.

Ok. Yes, I can confirm that I don't have access anymore to the GOG Downloader links for this game. Truly sadly as I don't care about a beta tool such as GOG Galaxy (but at least, I already have my backup).

But one question Stevetanner82, when you are saying you got the 403 forbidden error with other Downloader managers.
Are you still trying to access to the old links for the GOG Downloader?

If you have a download manager installed in your favorite browser, you only use the main page, thereare 5 parts for the installer (4 .bin files and a .exe file).

Update. I was trying to use Getright to download the game. It seems that every download I have tried with it gives the 403 error. I will try something else.
