Tried to play CoM with my PS3 Controller on Linux, but the controller is not recognized by the game. Nothing happen on the "press any button" screen (I tried all buttons on the controller). The controller seems to be working fine (tested with jstest-gtk).

I saw other topics about known issues with PS4 Controller but nothing about the PS3 Controller.
The PS3 Controller is expected to work with this game? Or should I wait for a PS4 Controller fix and try again?

I was able to use my PS3 controller with CoM. The trick is to use the xboxdrv gamepad driver to emulate an Xbox gamepad. The game now consider that I've an Xbox gamepad. A bit weird but it works.

Hej, thanks for the input. Would you care to elaborate if you had to do anything manually to get xboxdrv to "activate"?

I am asking because I own a logitech f-710 (ps-layout) which is recognised as an xbox-controller. Hoping that installing xboxdrv would solve the issue, I was disappointed. Maybe, I have to restart my machine before retrying? Maybe I have to invoke xboxdrv manually in some way?

Any input welcome, have a good day :)

SOLVED: Okay, so essentially my problem boiled down to having the left joystick and the gamepad with four directional arrows mixed up. The gamepad, not the joystick inputs would be registered as movement with my logitech f710.

After experimenting with xboxdrv, I found out - more by accident than by design - that pressing the "MODE" button switches the functionality of gamepad and joystick. This is the solution required to make the controller behave in the expected way :)
