the game won't start, don't get a screen of any kind, white or not.

it just doesn't run at all.
Same issue, no screen or any sign of activity. It's a shame, I was looking forward to a functional modern source port of this.

For some reason, I couldn't create a new topic. I have crashes after playing for some time:
I've played in 1440p, shading quality: 3. Id tried with DX12 and Vulkan, and the result is the same: crashes after some time (around 15 minutes maybe). I could finish the first level the second time I started the game and it crashed on the second level.

I found this in the Windows Event Viewer. I'm not sure it's helpful but looks like referencing to unassigned memory:

I'm not 100% sure but it looks like leaving shading quality on 2 solves the problem. At least I was able to finish the second level without problems. It was around 20 minutes max because there is no level 3 so couldn't test more.
So I've found a fix for this on the Steam forums for the game:

https://steamcommunity.com/app/2061230/discussions/0/3365901132005473690/

Go to this path: C:\Users\username\Documents\Chasm

create a text file chasm_config.txt

Copy and paste there following text

"Renderer" "DirectX11"
"Resolution" "1920x1080"
"Shading Quality" "0"
"VSync" "0"

Once in game you can change settings to your liking.
Worked for me.
