Four words. Total Recall total ripoff. Except no happy ending, at least not the ending I got. Given the *lengthy* speech by Mr. Big (name changed to hide a big spoiler), I was beginning to think I was going to have to make a final "Shoot the bad guy and get the Good Ending or shoot the good guy and get the Bad Ending" choice, but not so.

So, was that it?

Yeah, that's it.
Kind of a long way to go for no real payoff.

Lol. Actually Total Recall didn't have a happy ending either. All signs point toward the fact that all of this is an illusion and that Arnie's gonna die because something went wrong during the simulation. ;)

Btw, haven't beaten Chaser yet. I knew that it was supposed to be a very mediocre game but I hoped that guys like me, who love simple old school shooters, will enjoy it much more than most reviewers. But well, turns out the reviewers were right. :P

Those "signs" weren't readily visible until the director pointed them out in the DVD commentary.

Yeah, but "readily" doesn't mean "at all". Movie freaks (and Verhouven fans) like my brother had figured out several of those signs before the DVD was even out. But even without those hidden hints in my eyes the movie has always had an open ending at best.
Yeah, yeah. "I know what the twist is before the title cards are finished. In fact, I knew that Vader was Luke's father even before George was done with THX-1138!"

Y'all should just read the short story. Which Total Recall is based upon. All signs point to an unhappy ending there, too. No surprise.
Yeah, this ending was pretty bad. I kind of hate it when cutscenes screw things up.
No there is only one ending and its a bad ending.

If I could go back in time, I would not play it.
