Ever since i upgraded to 2.0.191 attempting to start new game just shows first game creation progress indicator for a brief moment, then CoQ closes with no console/GUI message. I tried to install clean, to remove all mods and to delete ~/.config/unity3d/Freehold\ Games/CavesOfQud , but without any effect. Upgrading to 2.0.192 does not solve the problem. 2.0.180 (latest older version i have downloaded) works fine.

Anyone else having similar problems?

BTW: Issues with new releases are not something abnormal for games in development. It may be good idea for GOG to provide for them rollback downloads instead of just latest version. Especially for ones like CoQ, that maintain save incompatibility.

I had similar issue, fixed by adding 'export LANG=C' into start.sh before the line 'execute_game ... '. Must be a unity issue, I had exact same problem with tangledeep.
Setting $LANG to "C" did help in Devuan 2 (Debian 9), but in Devuan 3 (Debian 10) the problem remained. Had to set t "C" also LC_ALL and LC_CTYPE.
