just played through the first 2 Catacomb 3D games and I am wondering if there is possiblity to play them in 4:3. When I start them up I get a black bar at the bottom and the image appears to be stretched to the full length of my 16:9 monitor. It doenst look quite right so I was wondering if this is normal or a problem on my side ?

The Catacomb games start in 4:3 to me (with black bars left and right), so I suspect it is a problem on your end. My guess would be it is probably your monitor stretching the 4:3 signal to 16:9, so you should look there first. If not, GOG includes a graphic mode setup tool with alls DOSBox releases, maybe fiddeling with that gets you the right aspect ratio.
