What about Catacomb Abyss 3d version 2 using the Doom Engine.

If you're looking for a game that is heavily inspired by Catacomb Abyss, but on a more advanced game engine, then you may want to look into Wizordum.

I find Wizordum more difficult than Catacomb Abysss 3d which spoils the fun.
