Other things that will work:
1. If your Mac is a laptop made in 2009 or later, or if you're using an Apple Magic Trackpad, you can click on the trackpad using two fingers instead of one to right-click. You may have to turn this on in System Preferences -> Trackpad.
2. If your Mac is a desktop made in 2006 or later, the mouse that came with it is capable of doing a right click when you click by pressing on the right side of the mouse instead of the left side. Again, you might have to turn this on in System Preferences -> Mouse.
3. You can always, of course, connect a good external USB or Bluetooth mouse and use that.
