Has anyone been able to get glidos to work with the gog version of the game?
I cant get it to work.

I just cant play with all of that pixelation.

if anyone has a 'how-to make Carmageddon look good in gog.com version of the game', please give us a how-to step by step guide (even if its just through the gog game launcher).

I see incredible screen shots of the game running in glide or 3dfx, but when I do it, it just looks like a big, blocky, pile of 1993.
:(
Install the windows 95 patch in the sticky on this forum to get rid of the pixelation and enjoy higher resolutions.

I did.

I just launched the 'Windows version', and it is SO much better.

But, the lower quarter of my screen is all wacking out.
I get black bars that come and go, at a VERY rapid epileptic siezure inducing pace.
:(
Hmmm, I just tried making a fraps video of it, and it doesnt happen when fraps is on.
I limited fraps to 60 fps (I have a 120hz monitor though).

Maybe vsync needs to be enabled?
Will try it.

Nope.
vsync=true still does it.
:(

Not sure what the problem is there, mine is fullscreen and runs and looks great in windows mode.

Hope you get it fixed though.
Thanks.

Although the black bars arent really bars, they are tiny lines.
they just show as bars in the pics for some reason.
OK
I have these settings, and it fixes the problem of flickering bars:
Nvidia settings profile for carma:
Texture Filtering - Anistropic sample options = On
Texture Filtering - Negative LOD Bios = Clamp
Texture Filtering - Trilinear optimization = On
Threaded Optimization = Off
Verticle Sync = On

No more flickering bar(s) at the bottom of the screen.
:D
