This is driving me nuts and happens randomly. So often when I launch the game either using the desktop launcher or from Galaxy the game minimizes itself, which results in the screen going black when I maximize the window again. I've heard some people say that this happens because of background programs, but to me it happens randomly and with the same processes happening in the background.
It's driving me nuts, is there a solution? Thanks.

We'll also need to know what OS you're using, what version and if it's completely up to date.

Carmageddon Max Pack (the first one), problem is for the laucnher so it affects both base game and Splat Pack in both 3dfx and standard version.
System is Windows 10 and resolution is 4K, but I have set the config file to 1080p.

What I was asking for is if your OS is up to date; have you installed all of the Windows 10 updates?
