Working good here.

Hires, 60 fps with core i 7 2600K and Amd radeon 6970, w7x64, no admin install.

The carmageddon ask for cd rom, splat pack works... checking...

works like a charm on my radeon 7850, i5 2500, win7 x64
(for that matter, hardware mode also works flawlessly, great work GOG!)

Just checking: I have changed the ddraw.ini to width=1600, height=1200 and maxfps=60 to match my monitor (and I can confirm this works), HOWEVER this does not appear to improve the graphics quality of the game (which appears pixel-doubled from a lower resolution). Is this the way it works? Or am I missing something?

The setup_carmageddon.exe won't even work on my copy of Windows 7/64. It asks if I'm sure I want to run it, I say yes (even tried as right-click admin, which I already am) and it thinks for a second then nothing. Unless it's a silent install that takes several hours...

Maybe your antivirus or firewall is interferring.

Maybe the copy protection don't removed from carma95 because the game asks for cdrom in windows 95 version, but the dos version working. Please upodate the patch with unprotected carm95.exe please!

Strijkbout: Maybe your antivirus or firewall is interferring.
Or it could be UAC (User Account Control) that's interfering. Try turning that off and then try running setup_carmageddon.exe.

I had the "Installed version is not compatible with the package" but it works for me too.

Also, the game runs smooth with my AMD 6950 2GB Ram version on Win7 64bit.

Strijkbout: Old games like these don't support taskswitching, so better not do it.
Use windowed mode, it doesn't do that.

P.S also use width=1280 and height=960 in ddraw.ini if you have the screen space, 2x scaled carm95 looks good on HD monitors.

First time the game crached right before trying to play.
second time it worked great and now it's just craching my pc totally..
makes my left click not work until i restart the PC or logout -.-

also gives me this now: unable to setup direct draw- please check that directx is installed

edit: only happens to splat pack, normal carmageddon works fine until i close the game
then my left click button stops working, it's pretty frustrating
