Hey all,

Enjoy my HD videos of me playing Carmageddon!

Carmageddon CGI Intro in HD: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyZKrNLMCmw
Carmageddon Splat Pack CGI Intro in HD: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hB6w607JK8

Carmageddon Gameplay #2 in HD - Action Replay Special: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVgWlz2SrL4

The original vid I linked to was improperly recorded and I didn't realize it till I uploaded it and then watched the playback. I fixed it with the new url above that is much better in all ways possible.

BTW how did I get the game to run in HD? It isnt hard jest gotta edit a few files. I edited the dosbox config files and then I also edited my nglide. & yes I am using the hardware mode of the game. Also notice the smooth edges on things? I managed to also add anti-alias to my game.

unless you post a comprehensive guide on how to do this then it is not easy and your just being condescending

You can download the latest nGlide from here: http://www.zeus-software.com/downloads/nglide
and use it's configurator to set any resolution you want. I would recommend setting aspect ratio to 4:3 so the game isn't stretched.

I got antialiasing to work by using Nvidia Inspector and creating an app profile of all the .exe files in the CARMA directory and dosbox.exe in its directory, and using the 'override any application settings' for AA.

Ok On the gog release if thats what your useing should have two start links one just the normal carmageddon run game but it will run in widescreen.

Then theres carmageddon hardware mode which should allow you to run in a little higher resoultion but doesnt change the game play. and shount do so

thridly you can also click on the hardware mode setup which allows you to run in windowmode as well as fullscreen and also different graphic mode types as well please look this up...

Ok you 2 it is this simple.

1st search for dosboxCARMA.conf + dosboxCARMA3dfx.conf + dosboxCARSPLAT.conf + dosboxCARSPLAT3dfx.conf

2nd open all of them.

3rd set them to fullscreen or window mode your choice and then set the fullresolution and windowresolution you wish to use.

4th search for scaler under [render] and set it to hq3x

5th save all the .conf files.

6th get the latest version of nglide here: http://www.zeus-software.com/downloads/nglide

7th goto where you installed it by default it should be if you have Win 7 64-bit installed: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\

8th launch nglide_config.exe

9th set screen resolution(same as what you set in your .conf files) and put your gamma correction at 0.5 and then set whether you want to the 3Dfx logo splash screen to show ever time you launch the game

10th apply

11th delete the glide2x.dll file outta the dosbox folder of your game's installation along with in the CARMA folder and CARSPLAT folder

12th launch the game either with the normal or (hardware mode)

Peace.

It works amazing buddy. Thanks. The "along with in the CARMA folder and CARSPLAT folder" is a joke right? Cause I did it. Stupid me XD
