Loving the first one. Would also like the second one to be on here! :D

Have you ever seen or played #2?

And what are the odds if GOG did get it that it would come with the Iron Maiden soundtrack?

I have a friend that has it and played it, not a lot though. The time I did play I liked it a lot, so would be nice to have it in my gog collection.

Well I couldn't really tell you about if the soundtrack would come with it, but it should and Stainless Games has the rights to the IP now so it's possible for sure.
I played Carma 2 to death. Not the classic that the original was, but well worth playing!
Why wouldn't GOG be able to get the Iron Maiden soundtrack?
They got the original with the Fear Factory soundtrack!

No offense to Fear Factory, they are a great band, but Maiden is legendary. The recent release of Omikron doesn't have the Bowie stuff so I just assumed Maiden would be a little hard to get.
Would be very cool if they can though...!

Are you referring to Bowie in-game or as free bonus content? I don't have Omikron, just know a bit about it. Yes, I'm guessing given how enormous IM is, we won't be seeing the Carmageddon 2 soundtrack released. Now, if there were good ambient tracks or songs from lesser-known bands, GOG might be able to release those. Iron Maiden, though - sorry, but almost assuredly not. Listen on YouTube or iTunes. :)

Entropy: The requests for the quake series make no sense. Quake is still available through multiple sources. Id software, amazon, steam, ebay, etc. Maybe even xbox live. Sure, it would be nice to have a gog version, but that's not necessary considering that id games don't have drm. Not to mention that you're vastly better off copying the pak files into a port like darkplaces or beserker, which also support mp3 or ogg soundtracks.

Keep an eye out for steam sales, since that's where you can usually find the best deals.
Well like you said, a GOG version would be nice for those of us that like GOG for the good old games + great bonus material. I enjoy seeing all kinds of great pre-mid-2000s classics come here, even if they're already on Steam. Plus, an ID/Zenimax deal could open doors to forgotten classics perhaps not on Steam or easily obtainable.

In game. I didn't know there was free bonus content. Omikron isn't really high on my wishlist so I can only go by what I read and hear about.

Huh, hopefully it doesn't affect the atmosphere much in certain places. (Like, if there was a video of animated Bowie singing but there was no sound. :P)

Surely you know about GOG's free bonus content. Obviously, Omikron doesn't have what the #1 kind of desired bonus content is - free soundtracks - but there's a bit of concept art and a "Making of" thing (the icon isn't a video icon).

Oh yeah I love the bonus content. Carmageddon has the best with the fold up cars. My confusion was that you made it sound like they added Bowie as bnus content but I guess I missunderstood.
Is Iron Maiden still a major band in Europe or something?! Because they are unable to sell out local bars around here sometimes (or at least this was the case from the mid 1990s to early 2000s, which was the last time I heard of them playing live in my state). I seriously doubt it would cost them much (if ANYTHING) to feature the Maiden song in the game.

What state are you in? :O

Maiden is still a top draw. Shit they have their own 747, EdForce 1. Bruce is the pilot.

I am in WA. state. I remember Maiden played a bar called "The Off Ramp" in Seattle once in the late 90s and could not fill it. I am unaware of them being able to book any major venues for the last twenty+ years, aside from some of those metal-fests in Europe (that feature a half dozen or more top tier acts). I saw them back in '87 or '88 I think (Guns and Roses opened up for them to give you an idea of how long ago this was) but this was back when metal was a much bigger deal and it was a 'dome' show.

It just occured to me with your post, I see recordings of their live shows (recent shows) all the time, but they are always festival shows, not the typical day in and day out 250 day tour stuff, so I guess you have a point in that regard.

On a side note I have never seen them live and you have so somehow I feel that I am not fit to lick your boots. :P I bow before you. Have joking, half serious. I'd kill to see Maiden!

Yeah I am an old punk but I still have some love & respect for a lot of metal acts. I got into Maiden when I was like 12 or 13 years old and Killers was still their most recent album (with Paul Di' Anno on vocals) and I also love The Number of the Beast when it was released (with then new vocalist Bruce Dickinson). I did not care for much else they released after that though (a handful of songs on Somewhere in Time being the exception).

Back when I saw Maiden live metal was still huge (this was I believe the Seventh Son... tour) and they had the giant animatronic "Eddie" on stage. While I preferred Paul Di' Anno to Bruce Dickinson I was always amazed at how Bruce could hit and maintain all those notes live and sound just like the recordings.
