Me and my friend are trying to resume a saved game on Capitalism 2, however my friend gets the error that he cannot join due to having a different version number to me, however we both have the GOG version of the game. (I'm hosting)

Can anyone help with this annoying problem?

Edit: The same error appears both ways (He hosts and I attempt to join).

Just a update.

After a long time searching, I have found the solution of sorts.

1st ensure your versions are exactly the same, use the GOG version on both computers for example.

2nd Update the NO-CD Crack. (The GOG verson is not a good one as it is broken when trying to load multiplayer player games) I have not tested this for the "Different Versions" error as I only got the No CD inserted error when we tried again after I updated to Win7. The verson that allowed the loading feature to work is located here:

After replacing the .exe file with this crack, loading saved games worked like a charm with no errors yet.

Hope this helps anyone else with this problem.
