So in Cap 2 you can build apartments and commercial buildings and rent them out. However I have never been able to really make any money doing this. I have a few questions:

Does placement matter? It seems it does but how much?

Anybody actually making money on these and how do you do it?

Would it be possible to build only these buildings and make a profit?

I did a little experiment: I placed a commercial building and an apartment way outside the city, as far away as possible. People did move into those buildings, but not enough to pull them out of the red.

Apparently they need to be built in high property value areas...
My assumption is high property value = high rental rates.
