As the topic says, loved re-living my teenage years with this one, would like to play the next one.
I've got the Sold Out CD-ROM release of Cannon Fodder 2. It's a great sequel and should be on GOG.
C'mon guys, you can make it happen!
i hope they do release Cannon Fodder games are classic
i agree!
Cannon Fodder 2 is 100% a "more of the same" sort of prequel...

...which makes it very good !
I actually think i've seen Cannon Fodder 2 released somewhere as abandonware...
I really hope it makes it's way here as well.
I have number 1 never played number 2.
I've got the Sold Out version as well. The thing that struck me about it was that it was a very, very faithful port of the Amiga version, which is more than you could say about the first game.

It's actually a sequel, considering that it's taking place in the future. ;)
Agree though that it is a very good game. It may not provide as powerful social criticism as the first one did but the gameplay is just as good if not even better.

Yeah, as far as I remember the audio was actually almost on the same level as in the Amiga version. I'm still pissed that the audio was so screwed up in the DOS version of the first game (Adlib MIDI music, no ambient sounds). In case of CF2 there's actually even one thing that's better in the DOS version: there's tombstones on "boot hill" which had to be removed from the Amiga version for the sake of preserving memory.

The Sold Out version seems pretty cheap to pick up, does anyone know if it's possible to get working on modern machines (with Windows 7)?

Of course, a functional version appearing on GOG would be a dream, but until then...
The Sold Out version works fine with DOSBox.
Ahh, excellent. Thanks!
It would be just super if GOG would add Cannon Fodder 2 to its store. I really liked Cannon Fodder 1 and I hear that the sequel is basically the same game, just more polished. I'd really like to try it out.
