Can you give me a solution, other than consider as a false positive ?

You can upload file to virustotal.com to find out if its false positive only for Avira.

This is highly disconcerting. Has anyone else come across this issue?
GOG should definitely be made aware of this as soon as possible.

The more prudent thing to do would be for anyone that does have the game caught by their anti-virus software of choice to submit the file to that provider so it can be re-analyzed and possibly removed from any definitions as it's very likely a false positive.
Your PC are infected and are infect all EXE on the system, is not a GOG problem , give me a break

I have the exact same thing, popped up exactly when I clicked to install Bound in Blood... Disconcerting indeed... ! What is this?

Likely a false positive, how ever if you wish to seek a refund but also explain why, so that GOG can investigate, it might be a false due to the new installer software that gog is using in order to combat and track piracy according to rumor and heresay.

edit: added that the false positive might be due to a signature change on gog's part, there is little evidence for this though. (I should have made this clear, I do not wish to cause alarm.)

It's more likely the fact that the CoJ developers removed the DRM in a way that seems suspicious to those virua databases.

Bound in Blood came up as a virus?
Good game with excellent gameplay.
Now Avira has noticed "call of juarez bound in blood" executable as clean file. But 4 anti-virus marked as virus. One less than before.

That suggests that Avira recognized it as a false positive and removed it from being picked up by their definitions. The others that still pick it up would probably need submissions of the file to re-evaluate its status as well but since Avira has already done so, you should be safe in running the game without regard to those 4 outliers still picking it up as a suspicious file.

Sure it's a false positive, but what do you mean by "the new installer software gog is using in order to combat and track piracy" ? Do you mean that GOG integrates an anti-piracy system within its offline installers ?

from what I heard, nothing major, like its never going to affect your ability to play or install games, its just a signature change or something (I do not quite remember now), but I really should have been thinking when I posted it because this is all just rumor and speculation at this point because of the rash of sudden false positives that started affecting offline installers near the end of 2018 and start of 2019, but alas I didn't and I am sorry for causing alarm.
