Hello,
I'm wondering if anybody know where the save file for Caesar 3 resides? If so, what is the path? Many people said it's in the sierra\caesar3 folder, but any game purchased from gog resides in the program files\gog.com\caesar 3.
Thanks

Try looking for it in C/Users/(Username)/My Documents or C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Local\Virtua lStore\Program Files\GOG.com\caeser3

The default should be as you mentioned above.
I never install to the default directory. Nothing against GOG, I love GOG!
My path is D:\Caesar 3
The files are in the Caesar 3 directory no matter where you install Caesar 3. I use Windows XP and the My Documents folder is not used. I have no idea if it's different for other OS's.
Anyway, the save files are mixed in with all the other Caesar 3 root directory files. They will have the extension ".sav"
If your rank in the games is say Engineer then the save file will be "Engineer.sav."
If it's a custom save then it uses whatever you entered for the name. Always look for .sav.
I can confirm that on Windows 7 at least they will save to the %USER%/AppData/Local/VirtualStore program files folder.

Weird - I'm on Win 7 and they don't show up there. Just under the the gog.com\caesar3 folder as others have mentioned.
They are saved to the root of wherever you installed Caesar 3, as a .sav file.
I have noticed that buildings such as the water structures and the prefectures etc. do not show any animations. I can't tell that my fountains are operating or that my prefectures are staffed. I know that they are because i can see my prefectures carrying water to buildings on fire. Also I can't see the buildings that are on fire. Anyone know a workaround?

I can confirm that it's not the common save dir. I've Win 7 too and no savegames there at all.
But I've 10 sav files in the installation dir.

When uninstalling the gog uninstaller asks whether the save games should be kept or deleted and when kept they'll remain in the installations dir.
