Hello,

I've installed this game yesterday. Everything works fine, except for simple sounds (people talks, building sounds, road sounds, land clearing sounds, etc. etc.) - they simply don't play; but the music plays perfectly (no looping or etc. as I've read some people had that issue).
But it seems I can't find anyone who had this "no simple sounds" problem.

I've tried IndirectSound, didn't help.

Windows 10 here.

Thanks.
Can you hear the scenarios briefings correctly? I'm asking because if there was a problem with the sound, they shouldn't, since they are wave files just like the rest of the sounds. The scenario music is too, but having two of the sound "sources" with problems is different than just one.

--- edit ---

Just in case, you have checked the Options \ Sound settings menu, right? Make sure not only that the volume levels are high enough, but also that the buttons on the left all say "(...) on".

Yes I did check it in the options, they are all at 100%.

Briefings are not working as well, only music (in menu, in-game, music also changes when the town grows, etc.)
Then, other than the usual "make sure your drivers are up to date" and "check your installation with Galaxy or unistall/reinstall if you don't use it", I can't think of anything.

I'm also using Win10 by the way (Pro, 1909), but I've never had any issues even on previous Windows versions.

One last check: Are you running c3.exe with any compatibility options on?
It is reliably known that if you rename "Pharaoh.exe" (v1.0), then there will be no sounds in the game.
It is also known that spaces and unicode in the path in the Game folder leads to non-playback ... .mp3 or .wav (I don’t remember anymore).
I guess Pharaoh inherited this from Caesar3.

Make sure that the name of the executable file is "C3.exe" and that the path to the Game contains nothing but a-Z 0-9.
