There's a game-breaking bug in the underwater area. After picking up the snail it can disappear from your inventory and the only way to "fix" that is to delete the save (by clicking the floppy disk in the trashcan in the menu) and start over from the beginning. It doesn't take too long but it's still very frustrating.


Here's how to avoid the bug:

Keep the save location folder open during gameplay and ALT+TAB out and make backups once in a while.
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\LocalLow\Bulbware\Bulb Boy\

Most important: When you get to a big creature when you are under water, make a backup right away. That's where you'll find the snail. If you know you picked it up but it's not in your inventory, use the backup save :)
